I didn’t ask nor did I get the impression he was a farmer. He may have been. He gets paid by people like me who visit him. He buys the electronics and can make the hardware. I think his wife works but I don’t think he does. I read an article which said he had appeared on TV and that his wife was unhappy with him making robots and not working. He seemed to me to be much better off than others living in the area and he had a much bigger ‘plot’.

  12. TomMinderson Says:

An article says that Wu is a poor farmer and learned to make his robots via trial and error with scrap parts. His hobby also nearly bankrupted his family.
